What does systemcp do?

systemcp develops and produces bespoke mosaic surfaces: installation-ready, numbered sheets with clear system logic, a layout plan and a coordinated material concept.

Who is systemcp for?

Above all for tiling contractors, fit-out companies, pool, spa and wellness builders, interior designers, architects and project-driven clients who want to bring bespoke mosaic surfaces reliably to completion.

Do you also work with private clients?

Yes, if the project size and process fit. systemcp is not a shop for single sheets, but a project partner for planned mosaic surfaces.

How is this different from off-the-shelf mosaic?

Off-the-shelf mosaic is bought as stock and adjusted on site. systemcp prepares individual motifs, patterns or surfaces in advance as numbered sheets, so design and execution match up better.

How do I start a project with systemcp?

Easiest via the project form on systemcp.de, by e-mail to info@systemcp.de or by phone. There are three simple ways in: choose a ready-made design line, design your sheet in the online configurator, or submit a free design – a photo, a sketch or an idea is enough.

Where is systemcp based?

systemcp is based in Beckum, North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany). Assembly of the mosaic sheets is done exclusively in Germany; we deliver to the DACH region, BENELUX, Scandinavia and the EU.

Is systemcp a manufacturer or a retailer?

systemcp is a manufacturer: we design and produce bespoke mosaic surfaces with our own machines and our own software – not simply reselling finished goods.

What sets systemcp apart from Italian mosaic manufactories?

Traditional manufactories are highly individual, but expensive and slow to deliver. systemcp achieves comparable individuality through industrialised, process-driven production – affordable and delivered installation-ready.

Can I work with systemcp as a tiling contractor or trade business?

Yes. systemcp works together with tiling contractors and specialist trades. Just get in touch with us directly.

What is the ideal viewing distance for a mosaic?

It depends on chip size and motif: up close you see the grid, from the planned distance the overall image emerges. For detailed photo motifs we plan chip size and surface to suit the viewing distance.

Do I get a dedicated contact person?

Yes. From the first idea to the finished surface, one contact person accompanies you – one person responsible, one result.

Does systemcp also arrange an installer?

You or your tiling contractor install according to the plan – our sheets can be laid like normal mosaic. On request we can arrange a partner; our network is still growing, so there is no guarantee of nationwide coverage.

Product & design

What mosaic solutions are possible?

Possible are image motifs, logos, graphic patterns, abstract surfaces, colour gradients, pool and wellness surfaces, as well as bespoke standard sheets with a repeatable pattern.

What is a project mosaic?

A project mosaic is an individually planned surface with a motif, logo, graphic, gradient or free design. systemcp translates the design into grid, material, sheet layout and installation documents.

What is a bespoke standard sheet?

A bespoke standard sheet is a repeatable pattern or your own material combination that can be produced in series. It is especially useful when a larger surface or a recurring project is to be realised with its own pattern.

What are collections?

Collections are prepared design directions such as Geometric, Oriental or Gradients. They serve as inspiration and a clear reference point in the enquiry. Colour, material, format and surface are still adapted per project.

Are the collections finished products?

No. The collections are design lines and starting points, not off-the-shelf goods. From a collection, a concrete execution emerges in the project with matching materials, dimensions and sheets.

What does the configurator do?

The configurator helps you design simple, repeatable patterns as a standard sheet. It is suited to inspiration, pre-alignment and enquiry, but does not replace a technical project review.

What is a QR code mosaic?

A QR code mosaic or data matrix code is realised as a permanent mosaic surface. It suits entrances, hospitality, exhibitions, wayfinding, product information or surfaces where information should become a lasting part of the architecture.

Are there design limitations?

Design is largely open. Our task is to develop ideas so they remain technically sound, durably functional and commercially realistic.

Can we bring our own designs?

Yes. Designs can be adopted, optimised or developed together – always with a focus on the final appearance and buildability.

Are repeats or series possible?

Yes. Repeatability and consistent quality are core parts of the system. For bespoke standard sheets, a repeatable surface becomes economical mainly from around 20 m² as a rough guide.

How detailed can a motif from a photo become?

That depends on the chosen mosaic – on chip size, surface and material. We know what is possible and how it can be combined, advise on it gladly and plan suitable proposals. The result is a motif that works best from the planned viewing distance.

Do I get a visualisation for approval before production?

Yes. Before production you receive a preview or grid draft of the motif for approval – so you can see colour choice, effect and layout before anything is made.

What grout colour is possible – and can it be adjusted?

The grout colour is chosen on site during grouting and strongly affects the look: light grout emphasises the grid, dark grout makes motifs appear more closed. On request we supply matching colour pigments with a mixing ratio, so the grout suits the mosaic even better alongside the base colours.

What is a pixel mosaic?

The pixel mosaic is our main process: grid-based, able to represent any motif, and economical thanks to automation (guide price from approx. €200/m²). The pixels don't have to be square – anything that can be shown as a grid is a pixel mosaic with us. For large surfaces we flexibly adapt our production methods to new geometries and formats.

What is the difference between pixel mosaic and art mosaic?

The pixel mosaic works with a grid and is highly automated – and therefore economical. Art mosaic is set more freely or produced in artistic individual cutting and individually tuned in colour and orientation – more elaborate and more exclusive.

What is a micro mosaic?

Micro mosaic is the premier class: especially small pieces under 5 mm, down to Murano glass under 1 mm. For the finest detail, luxury ambience, right up to the finest jewellery.

What is water-jet cutting or opus sectile?

With water-jet cutting, seamless surface elements are cut precisely (opus sectile) – for free contours without a visible grid. We primarily use natural stone slabs, ceramic tiles and metals for this.

What is a stone or metal inlay (intarsia)?

A stone or metal inlay is a luxurious accent: an inset symbol, detail or lettering that integrates into a surface.

What is the difference between a vibrated and a hand-set standard sheet?

The vibrated standard sheet yields very economical small series of repeating sheets (from approx. 20 m²). With the hand-set standard sheet, every tessera can be defined freely – with no minimum quantity.

Which collections or design lines are there?

There are prepared design lines such as Geometric, Oriental and Gradients, each in several colourways; more are added over time. They serve as a starting point – colour, material and surface are adapted per project.

Can different processes and materials be combined?

Yes. Processes and materials can be combined – for example an inlay as an accent within a larger surface. We advise on suitable combinations from both a design and a technical perspective.

Can lettering or text be realised as a mosaic?

Yes. Lettering, logos and symbols can be realised as mosaic – as a surface or as an inset detail.

Can a mosaic be three-dimensional or on a 3D-printed surface?

Yes. Via our own 3D printing, relief and curved carrier structures are possible, laid installation-ready with mosaic – flat, curved, around the corner or into relief.

Can a colour gradient be realised?

Yes. Gradients are a typical strength of the system – from soft transitions to multi-colour blends. The Gradients design line shows examples.

Which motifs work especially well for mosaic?

Well suited are logos, graphic patterns, lettering, gradients and photo motifs. How detailed a motif becomes depends on chip size, surface and viewing distance.

Can an existing mosaic be reproduced or extended?

Yes. Because every surface is planned data-based, motifs can be reproduced or surfaces extended later. Batch-related variations may occur.

Materials & technique

Which materials are used?

Glass, ceramic, natural stone and targeted accents. We support the selection to suit use, look and budget.

Which formats are possible?

Standard formats as well as special shapes. Together we define the format that best supports both design and processing.

Can the colours be adapted to a project?

Yes. Colours and materials are selected to suit use, surroundings, desired effect and budget. With collections, the design direction can be kept while the colour climate and material are adjusted.

Are outdoor areas possible?

That depends on the project. Material, substrate, load, water management, frost resistance and installation system are decisive. Outdoor areas are therefore always reviewed separately.

Are wet areas such as pool, spa or shower possible?

Yes. Wet areas are an important field of application. Material, build-up, carrier and installation must be planned to suit.

How is delivery handled?

As precisely pre-made, numbered mosaic sheets with a layout plan and clear structure – for a smooth process on site.

Which carrier systems are used?

Project-dependent. The choice follows the application and processing. Often the proven paper-face method is used.

Why are numbered sheets important?

Numbering makes the surface traceable. It reduces searching, misunderstandings and improvisation on site.

How big are the individual mosaic pieces?

Typical chip sizes are 10, 15 and 20 mm. Beyond that, further formats and special shapes are possible – from rectangular, hexagonal and round to micro mosaic under 5 mm. The right size depends on motif, viewing distance and surface: smaller pieces allow more detail, larger ones look calmer and are more economical.

How high does a finished mosaic surface build up?

The build-up height depends on material and adhesive bed. As a guide, the chip thickness is around 4 to 8 mm, plus adhesive and substrate build-up. We agree the exact height per project so connections and transitions fit.

Is the mosaic slip-resistant in pool or barefoot areas?

Yes. For wet and barefoot areas we choose material and surface to suit the required slip resistance – for example the barefoot classes A, B and C, or the R ratings for working areas. The specific rating depends on the chosen material and is set per project.

Do the colours fade? Are they UV- and chlorine-resistant?

Glass and ceramic mosaics are colour-stable, lightfast and resistant to chlorine and pool water – ideal for outdoor, pool and wellness areas. With natural stone, resistance depends on the stone; here we advise on selection and sealing.

Can mosaic be laid on curves, columns or curved surfaces?

Yes. Thanks to the flexible sheet structure, curves, columns, pool edges and curved surfaces can be covered – the mosaic follows the form, not just flat walls. For strong curvature we adjust chip size and sheet layout so the surface follows the shape cleanly.

Is the mosaic suitable for underfloor heating?

Yes. What matters is that the adhesive and substrate build-up suit the underfloor heating. We advise on this and provide the appropriate notes in the project documents.

How is a mosaic cleaned and maintained?

Glass and ceramic mosaics are easy to care for and can be cleaned with common, non-abrasive cleaners. In wet areas we recommend regular cleaning of the grout. For natural stone we provide material-appropriate care instructions.

What is the difference between glass, ceramic and natural stone mosaic?

Glass mosaic offers high colour brilliance and depth and is our most economical material. Ceramic mosaic is dimensionally stable and delivers a predictable series effect. Natural stone mosaic brings grown structure and veining – character with natural variation.

What are the advantages of glass mosaic?

Glass mosaic is colour-brilliant, light-transmitting, colour-stable and resistant to water and chlorine – our most used material, ideal for pool, wellness and colour-rich motifs.

When is ceramic mosaic the right choice?

Ceramic mosaic fits when technical reliability, dimensional stability and a predictable, even series effect are the priority.

When is natural stone mosaic suitable?

Natural stone mosaic fits when a natural, grown look with veining and depth is desired. Resistance and care depend on the stone – we advise on this.

Are the mosaics frost-resistant for outdoor use?

That depends on material and build-up. Glass and ceramic mosaics are usually well suited to outdoor use; frost-resistant material, a suitable substrate and installation system are decisive. Outdoor surfaces we review separately.

Are the materials suitable for kitchens and hospitality?

Glass and ceramic mosaics are dense, hygienic and easy to care for and are well suited to kitchens, hospitality and splashback areas. For the specific use we advise on the right material.

What surfaces are available (glossy, matte, iridescent, metallic)?

Available are, among others, glossy, matte, iridescent as well as metallic and glitter surfaces. Such accents we combine per project for highlights and contrasts.

Can mosaic be walked on as a floor covering?

Yes, with the right material and format choice, walkable floors are possible. Tread resistance, slip resistance and a suitable substrate are decisive – we plan this per project.

Is mosaic suitable for sauna and steam bath?

Yes. For sauna, steam bath and wellness we choose material and build-up to suit heat and moisture. These areas are planned separately.

Project & process

How does a project typically proceed?

First, surface, goal, material direction, motif or collection and framework conditions are clarified. Then follow design or system translation, alignment, production of numbered sheets and handover of the installation documents.

What information is needed for an enquiry?

Helpful are dimensions, location, desired effect, material preference, images or sketches, timeframe and whether it concerns a project mosaic, collection, QR code mosaic or standard sheet.

Can I simply refer to a collection?

Yes. A sentence like “We’re interested in the Gradients collection” is enough as a starting point. After that, surface, material, colours and execution are specified.

Can systemcp turn a logo or image into a mosaic?

Yes. Logos, images and free motifs can be transferred into a buildable mosaic grid. The key is that motif, chip format, viewing distance and available surface fit together.

How binding is an enquiry from the configurator?

The enquiry is non-binding. It provides a good basis for systemcp to review material, grid, quantity and feasibility and to prepare a concrete quote from it.

How predictable are lead times?

Lead times depend on the project, are agreed early and kept reliably.

Which regions does systemcp deliver to?

We regularly deliver within the DACH region, BENELUX and Scandinavia. Beyond that, deliveries within the entire EU are generally possible. A clear project structure, realistic logistics and a smooth process are decisive. Outside the EU we review projects individually.

How long does it take from enquiry to delivery?

That depends on complexity and size. A simple QR code mosaic is possible from around 1 week, more complex projects from 2 to 4 weeks, and for very extensive surfaces longer. We agree the lead time concretely early in the project.

How precisely do I need to measure the surface?

The more precise the measurement, the better the sheets fit. We need the real dimensions of the surface including recesses and connections. With a correctly measured surface, cutting on site is usually not necessary.

Is there a minimum area or minimum order value?

Economical series and standard surfaces are worthwhile from about 20 m². Individual processes – such as hand-set sheets or the pixel mosaic – are also possible with no fixed minimum quantity. What fits your project we clarify in the enquiry.

Can I reorder replacement sheets or individual pieces later?

Yes. Because every surface is produced data-based and repeatably, reorders are possible – down to individual pieces. Batch-related variations may occur; we recommend registering the need early.

In what format and resolution do I submit my motif?

Ideally high-resolution image files (e.g. JPG, PNG, PDF) or vector data for logos. A sketch or a rough direction is also enough as a start – we take care of the rest.

Does the design cost extra?

No. The design is part of the service: from a photo, sketch or a direction we develop the motif and translate it into a buildable mosaic plan. A first design is non-binding.

How does the approval or revision loop work?

Before production we align motif, colours and layout; two revision loops are usual. Only after your approval does the surface go into production.

Does systemcp also plan complex floor plans (niches, slopes, curves)?

Absolutely – challenge us. Niches, slopes, curves and entire walls we plan in CAD, every sheet numbered, every edge accounted for. Furniture, columns, counters and basins are also possible.

How are the sheets packed and delivered?

The surfaces are delivered to the site as numbered sheets with a layout plan, securely packed.

What happens with transport damage or a missing part?

For large projects or under time pressure we proactively include replacement pieces. Otherwise a clear photo of the affected sheets is enough – then we supply replacements easily. Usual transport damage mostly affects individual pieces; in exceptional cases we replace whole sheets.

Installation & site

How demanding is the processing?

The sheets are designed to be processed logically and safely. An overview plan is included and all sheets are clearly marked. With a correctly measured surface, cutting is not required.

Does the installer need special know-how?

No. systemcp supplies the prepared mosaic system. Installation is done by your specialist contractor or qualified partners. Clean preparation and clear documents allow experienced businesses a predictable execution.

Are there project-specific documents?

Yes. Every delivery includes clear, project-specific installation instructions.

Who installs the mosaic surfaces?

Installation is carried out by the customer's specialist contractor or by qualified partners. systemcp supplies the prepared system and the project-specific documents.

Do you integrate on-site or third-party components?

systemcp supplies a self-contained mosaic system. Third-party or on-site elements outside the system are not part of the scope. This is how we ensure quality, liability and a clean overall result.

How are the paper faces removed after installation?

With the paper-face method, the sheet is glued down, the paper is moistened after initial setting and pulled off, then grouting follows. The exact sequence is given in the project-specific installation guide.

Which substrate is suitable for mosaic?

Suitable is a load-bearing, level and clean substrate; in wet areas additionally properly waterproofed. We provide notes on the right build-up in the project documents.

Does the substrate need to be waterproofed in wet areas?

Yes. In wet and pool areas, proper waterproofing of the substrate is required. Material, build-up and installation we plan to suit.

Can I install the mosaic myself (DIY)?

We recommend a specialist contractor – but thanks to numbered sheets and a clear layout plan the surface is easy to follow, and advanced, careful DIYers manage the installation too. Especially in wet areas we advise a professional; on request we arrange a partner.

Cost & commercial

How is pricing calculated?

Project-based and transparent. Early on we show which options make sense and which factors influence the cost.

What does the price mainly depend on?

Material, chip size and project scope have the biggest influence. Repeats and serial surfaces usually have a positive effect on cost-efficiency.

Are there guide values for economical surfaces?

For bespoke standard sheets with a repeatable pattern, about 20 m² is a rough guide value. Project mosaics, QR code mosaics or special accents can be worthwhile even for smaller surfaces.

Is a QR code mosaic priced differently from a free motif?

Yes. A QR code mosaic is more strongly standardised technically and therefore easier to pre-cost. Free motifs, logos or complex surfaces require more design and coordination work.

What does a bespoke mosaic cost per m²?

The price is project-based; the biggest factors are material, chip size and scope. As a rough orientation (guide values at around 5 m² reference area): economical series and standard surfaces from €115/m², individually automated motifs such as the pixel mosaic from approx. €200/m², and art and special mosaic is calculated individually. We prepare a concrete quote after reviewing motif, material and surface.

What payment terms apply?

The terms are set transparently in the quote. For larger projects we take a deposit for the material; for returning customers this is negotiable.

Why is bespoke mosaic affordable at systemcp?

Our strength is well-thought-out processes and automation – our own machines fit even batch size 1 economically, and AI-assisted quality control secures production. We purchase high-quality mosaic material specifically instead of producing the pieces expensively ourselves, and we save on showroom and luxury image. This is how bespoke mosaic becomes affordable in the German market.

Does it get cheaper per m² the larger the surface?

Larger surfaces and recurring patterns usually improve cost-efficiency; the biggest price factors remain material, chip size and scope. Further levers we discuss gladly in conversation.

What does a QR code mosaic cost?

A QR code mosaic is strongly standardised technically and therefore easy to pre-cost. A precise quote depends on size, material and substrate.

Samples, production & quality

Can samples be provided?

We provide samples per project by arrangement. The materials overviews also give a first impression.

How is quality assured?

Quality comes from clean data, defined materials, numbered sheets, traceable documents and a production set up for repeatability.

Where is production done?

Assembly of the mosaic sheets is done exclusively in Germany.
